“A Beautiful-Footed Ministry”
Romans 10:14-21
Definition: An evangelistic ministry faithful to the Word of God, empowered by the Spirit of God, and carried to the world by the people of God!
I. The Need for Such a Ministry Expressed – Romans 10:14-15a
1. No calling upon God without belief – Romans 10:14a
2. No belief without hearing of the word – Romans 10:14b
3. No hearing without a preacher – Romans 10:14c
4. No preacher (true one) who is not sent – Romans 10:15a
II. The Beauty of Such a Ministry Pictured – Romans 10:15b
1. Beautiful feet because they are running, there is an urgency about this message – 10:15
2. Beautiful feet because they are bring “good things” the “gospel of peace”
III. The Ends (Goals) of Such a Ministry Expounded – Romans 10:16-21
1. The gospel is sent that men may obey it – 10:16a
2. The gospel will be understood by those you would not have expected would understand it – Romans 10:20
3. The gospel shows the stubborn (sinful nature) of those who reject it – Romans 10:21
4. The gospel is a two-edged sword it brings both mercy and judgment
