Morning Sermon Outline
“Christ’s Plain Telling of His Glorious Gospel”
John 3:14-21

I. Consider the gracious Gospel:

1. The Gospel provides a remedy to the deadly poison of sin.
2. The Gospel proclaims a pardon for the justly deserved penalty due sin.
3. The Gospel is attended by the Holy Spirit, Who:
A. Thru the new birth opens our eyes, both to our sinful need and God’s super-abundant provision.
B. Thru the new birth enlivens and changes us both inside and out.

II. Consider the heart and wisdom of God behind the gracious Gospel:

1. God’s unmatched love
2. God’s magnificent mercy
3. God’s unlimited wisdom

III. Consider that with all this people still reject Christ:

1. See and know the amazing power of sin (it is also a kind of LOVE)
2. Know that this is a power we must strive against
3. See Christ’s death on the cross as a striving against that power
4. See Christ’s resurrection from the dead as a victory over that power

IV. Consider the conclusion of the matter:

1. With Christ you will live eternally
2. Without Christ you will be condemned
3. Therefore, being right with Christ is of utmost importance
