“Dr. Jesus tells the Truth”
Numbers 21:4-9; John 3:14

Introduction – Imagine a fine Doctor, Dr. Nicodemus

I. Meeting Dr. Jesus

1. His diagnostic abilities – John 2
2. His urgency with His patient
3. His laying out the hard truth with Scripture

II. Nicodemus is dead wrong! Jesus proves this with Numbers 21:4-9

1. It is not just history but it is truth that applies to all of us
2. Shows a situation likely fatal
3. Shows a situation we should be alarmed about

III. The only remedy to this dread situation

1. The most extreme remedy – the Cross
2. A humbling remedy
3. An effective remedy

IV. The response we should make to this remedy

1. Apply it to yourself
2. Advertise it to others
3. Be careful of obscuring it
